At Public Home Loans, we understand that public servants face unique challenges when buying a home. With a wide array of Home Loan options available from banks and lenders across Australia, the journey can be overwhelming. Our role as experienced Finance & Mortgage Brokers is to simplify this process, ensuring you find the most suitable loan for your needs. Whether you're looking to get pre-approved or want to calculate your borrowing capacity, we're here to help you make informed decisions.
The first step in applying for a home loan is understanding your borrowing capacity. This involves assessing factors like household income, size of household, volume of dependents, and lifestyle. Our borrowing power calculator is designed to help you estimate your maximum borrowing capacity by considering these aspects alongside living expenses and credit history. Knowing your borrowing capacity is crucial as it influences the loan amount you can secure and the interest rate you might be offered. This information is also vital when considering Home Loan pre-approval, which can make the property market less intimidating.
Once you have a clear picture of your borrowing capacity, the next step is to focus on the application process. To enhance your chances of approval, it's important to have a good understanding of your financial standing. This includes reviewing your assets and liabilities, as well as the value of the property you're interested in. A substantial property deposit can significantly impact your loan terms, potentially securing a more favourable interest rate. Our team of Finance & Mortgage Brokers will guide you through every step, ensuring you have all necessary documents prepared and that your application showcases your strengths.
Finally, it's important to think about how external factors might influence your home-buying journey. The property market can be unpredictable, with changes in interest rates impacting borrowing options and repayment plans. By staying informed and seeking advice from professionals, you can navigate these changes effectively. Our brokers will keep you updated on market trends and offer insights tailored to your personal circumstances. This allows you to make decisions with confidence, whether you're buying a home for the first time or looking to refinance.
At Public Home Loans, our goal is to provide public servants with access to comprehensive Home Loan options from banks and lenders across Australia. We strive to make applying for a home loan a seamless experience by offering expert guidance and personalised solutions. Reach out today to explore how we can assist you in buying a home, and let's take the first steps towards securing your financial future.

Carl and the team have been fantastic. I've used them twice - for my first home purchase and again more recently for a refinance. I both highly recommend them and would use them again.

My unconditional approval was rejected just two days before settlement in Aug 2025, and you can imagine the pressure at that stage. Luckily My team refer me to Azura Team and there I e- meet Mr. Carl Elsass. He took the case under his wings and after submitting requested documents in just two days I got unconditional approval and also refinance of one of my unit to make the settlement possible. He really did the work like he is doing for himself. This is only I can feel through out the process. I definitely recommend Azura for their dedicated support and very soon I will be getting into the next one. Thanks Azura for helping the community.
